Brady McShane provides legal advice to clients on political, regulatory, and environmental issues involved in developing property in California and Colorado. His practice focuses on securing land use approvals, regulatory permits, and environmental clearance from government agencies, directing public policy and government relations strategies and counseling clients on land use issues pertaining to the acquisition, disposition, and financing of properties.

Brady’s broad range of land use experience includes work on residential, retail, hotel/resort, office, healthcare, industrial, mining and energy projects. He also advises institutional lenders on land use and entitlement issues associated with distressed assets.

Brady has deep experience with local planning and zoning regulations, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Subdivision Map Act, the California Coastal Act and other local, state, and federal land use laws and regulations that govern the development of real property. He regularly represents clients in public hearings before agencies, boards, commissions, and legislative bodies and defends development projects in court against CEQA and other land use-related claims.
